Kenz - CEO Christina Ganim
Chrsitina Ganim is the cofounder and CEO of Kenz, the first ever Palestinian based ecommerce lingerie company. Kenz was launched in 2016 after successfully participating in the Fastforward accelerator program which offers strategic investment in terms of funding as well as mentorship to promising innovative new startups ideas. Strategic Funding received from the Ibtikar fund further enhanced Kenz’s professional profile and allowed Christina to translate Kenz into a viable business venture. In addition to both cofounders, the Kenz team is composed of highly skilled professionals including experts in sales, social media marketing and logistics, and a software developer.
Christina relates the inspiration behind Kenz, “Kenz emerged after realizing that many women throughout Palestine and the Middle East have a problem finding the right size fit and style of bra, and they cannot find what they are looking for.” She continues, “Kenz works to solve this problem by providing a specialized online shop that features hundreds of products which offers women of all sizes a variety of styles and sizes of lingerie, underwear, pajamas and in general anything she needs.”
The team behind Kenz works tirelessly to offer their customers a large variety of brands from prominent American, European and Turkish companies. While the ecommerce market is still growing in Palestine Kenz, has found massive success shipping items to Saudi Arabia and will use their current momentum to expand to the UAE by the end of 2018. Upon the acquisition of further investment, Kenz seeks to utilize funds towards enhancing their marketing capabilities, increasing inventory, improving their logistics and outreach and most importantly to expand to include more countries throughout the Middle East.
Kenz’s strategic marketing approach focuses on featuring their products not only on their dedicated website but through social media apps such as Instagram where interested customers can keep up with the latest trends and share new arrivals with their friends. Kenz also features an innovative blog which offers readers and potential customers alike with information about different styles of lingerie for different occasions, seasonal trends and also what to wear and when to wear it.
Not only does Kenz work to offer women a variety of lingerie items that are either not sold or hard to find in the Middle East, they are also working to offer new graduates with employment opportunities, Christina explains, “With the continued growth of Kenz we hope to create new jobs to offer new graduates with opportunities to have a start and gain the experience they need to find success and independence.” She continues, “Not only that, but to continue to support local startups and develop the entrepreneurial capacity of Palestinians as the answer to positively affect the economic outlook of potentially thousands of Palestinians.”
