Transforming the Landscape of Palestinian Entrepreneurship: MENACatalyst’s Mastermind Group
In one of the first ever of its kind in Palestine, MENACatalyst successfully launched their signature Mastermind Group. Mastermind Groups are taking the world by storm, providing up-and-coming entrepreneurs the platform to learn, grow and thrive in fiercely competitive global markets.
But what is a mastermind group, and what’s behind all the buzz regarding this growing phenomenon? Simply put, a mastermind group is a select group of some of the most innovative entrepreneurs and business professionals who regularly convene to not only discuss some of the problems their startups are facing but to receive mentoring via dedicated experts, devise strategies, share networks and work towards achievable goals. Entrepreneurs all over the world vie for the opportunity to join these highly selective groups and develop the acumen and implement the strategies to achieve next level success.
What sets MENACatalyt’s mastermind group apart, however, is the impressive scope of the project, uniting Palestinian entrepreneurs from the diaspora and beyond, to support one another, and more profoundly contribute to a resilient Palestinian virtual economy. Spanning 7 countries from around the globe, participating entrepreneurs are showcasing their skills and innovating within the fields of social development, biotechnology, agricultural sustainability, marketplace needs and software development.
Selected entrepreneurs virtually convene on a weekly basis, with sessions facilitated by both Serial Entrepreneur and Business Coach, Anas Hamed, and Founder and Director of MENACatalyst Ghassan Amayra. While sessions are tailored for the respective participating entrepreneurs, additional topics revolve around an array of the most relevant strategies needed by startups to gain the upper hand and make an impact, such as strategic business and revenue model development, entrepreneurship and innovation, marketplace integration and competition, networking for success, and investor relations, just to name a few.
Putting the spotlight on emerging startups driven by innovation and creativity has created the ideal conditions for mentors, investors and industry partners all over the world to take notice and support Palestinian talent. In an extension of MENACatalyst’s efforts to enhance the viability and visibility of local based startups, partnership with major regional players such as Wamda, an entrepreneurial accelerator, has proved game changing. As a result, 5 of MENACatalyst’s network of startups are receiving virtual one-on-one mentorship sessions with Wamda’s dedicated team of mentors.
Mentorships are without a doubt invaluable for emerging startups. A mentor usually has years of experience in their respective fields, and access to their extensive networks, strategic resources and acumen are all essential for the trajectory of a startups future potential. Dedicated to transforming the landscape of Palestinian entrepreneurship and innovation, MENACatalyst understands that while investments are important, mentorships are instrumental for the long-term success and growth of a dynamic and globally relevant startup.
